This is a 1870-80s Victorian adjustable shelf solid Walnut and burl 2 door bookcase. However this could be used for a China Cabinet as well. The brass gallery yes it has been added on at one point in time and whoever done it did a great job!

This is 37 ¾ inches wide, and at the base it is 18 inches front to back. The 2 doors are 16 inches wide and 42 ½ inches tall. There are 4 shelf areas and 3 of them are removable and adjustable and the shelves are 34 inches wide and 10 inches front to back. The drawer has the original lock and is dovetailed. This drawer is 32 inches wide, 13 ½ inches front to back and 6 inches deep. With the double brass gallery this is 63 inches tall.
