What a beautiful case! This is what you call a
1870-80’s Victorian era solid Oak with Eastlake
spooned out carvings Parlor Organ. As you can
see in the photos below this is made by Farrand
and Votey of Detroit, MI.
USUALLY WHEN YOU FIND ONE OF THESE PARLOR ORGANS
THE NAME AND TOWN IS VERY FAINT. WOW DOES THIS
ONE HAVE NICE HAND PAINTED LETTERS STILL INTACT!
The center bevel mirror has a carved Sunburst
above the mirror for style. Let’s don’t forget
about the block Fretwork designs on each side…
they are great!! This is a 2 Piece Organ so that
one can move it easily from room to room if
necessary.
This is 75 inches tall x 48 inches wide and 23 ½
inches front to back. All 3 bevel mirrors
measure the same and are 9 ½ inches wide and 5 ½
inches tall. This does pump and play when you
pull all the stops out. We do want to point out
we have had them sound much louder, but hey who
wants to wear ear plugs. We did not get a photo
but however on the inside back which is very
clean, it has a great old paper label about 6 x
7 inches.
