It’s probably been a year since we have
had one of these. The past 3 or 4 that
we have sold for around $3,500.00 -
$4,500.00 each, people use them for
exactly what this was previously used
for! As you can see in the photos below,
this 1900-10 quartersawn Oak National 2
piece Brass Cash Register has what
appears to be individual drawer fronts.
The previous owner wanted to store
larger cases of interest for his coin
collection.
The outside measurements are a total of
66 inches tall, 21 ½ inches front to
back and 29 inches wide. All drawer
fronts are 22 ½ inches wide. The top 4
drawers are 12 inches front to back and
2 ¼ inches deep. The next 2 drawer
fronts have been put together to make
one and this is 5 ½ inches deep. The 3rd
set of 3 are all put together to make
one drawer and is 8 ½ inches deep. At
the bottom there is a bowed outward or
Bombay door for storage and is 22 ½
inches wide and 8 ¼ inches tall. Behind
this door there is storage of 8 inches
tall and 17 ½ inches front to back and
22 ½ inches wide. The fancy Cash
Register is Nickel plate over Brass and
does show some Nickel plate wear. Again
this was previously used for a Coin
Collection base and the top of the Cash
Register was never used. Only that the
top drawer was always open and was used
for pocket change and coins for every
day. The Cash Register with the fancy
brass has a great look to it and the Oak
base, but we DO NOT have the keys. In
all the time that the previous owner had
this was not working and probably needed
to have the keys to unlock it because
the side crank does not operate. So in
other words, the Cash Register is all
there with the exception of the keys.
Some keys could probably be made by a
local locksmith
