The Wooton Desk Company made almost
the identical Desk that you will see
in the photos below. This was
probably made by Mitchell
Rammelsberg of Cincinnati Ohio. BUY
and SAVE! If this Desk was made by
Wooton in the 1870-80’s you would be
paying close to $10,000.00 plus.
However this is an 1870-80’s Burl
and Walnut Kneehole Cylinder Desk
that is rare to find. This has the
original porcelain castors. As you
can see in the photos below this has
a wonderful Burl and cut out
Gallery!
This is 55 inches tall, 36 inches
wide and 23 inches front to back.
This is a 2 piece Desk so that it
can be easily moved from room to
room or for shipping purposes. The
Burl Gallery is 10 inches tall. The
Cylinder Roll is 31 inches wide and
16 inches on a curve. The 2 interior
cubby hole drawers are 8 ½ inches
wide, 10 ½ inches front to back and
2 ¾ inches deep. All bottom drawers
are dovetailed pinned constructed.
When the writing surface is pulled
out it is 29 ½ inches wide and 17
inches front to back. The writing
surface has been recovered at one
time and a nice job done at that.
The kneehole larger drawer is 29 ½
inches wide, 16 ¾ inches front to
back and 3 ¼ inches deep. The right
remaining drawers are 11 inches
wide, 16 ¾ inches front to back and
have depths of 3 ½, 4 and 6 inches
deep.
