BEVEL MIRRORS! Usually there will be
only 1-2 mirrors in a wonderful
Bookcase Desk like this one. Again
all the mirrors are Beveled and this
is also considered a Hooded type of
Desk as well at the 2 corners where
the lions are located. If you’re the
type that likes the old finish…
don’t miss out on this one! Two
other items to take a look at and
needs to be pointed out; is the
fabulous heavy casted Lion head
pulls and the Ball and Claw Feet.
Yes the pulls have been shined up at
one point in time. There is normal
old varnish loss throughout, but
this is expected. There are nice
router carvings throughout.
This is 76 inches tall, 39 ¾ inches
wide and 14 inches front to back.
The 2 very top shelves where the
lions are 15 ½ inches wide and 9
inches front to back. The center
Shield style Mirror is 9 ½ inches
wide x 11 ¼ inches tall. The left
and right Oval style mirrors are 11
¼ inches wide and 5 ½ inches tall.
The door with the router carving and
the oval style mirror is 13 ½ inches
wide x 9 ½ inches tall. The drop
Secretary door lid is 18 x 15
inches. The 2 interior cubby hole
drawers are 8 inches wide, 6 ½
inches front to back and 2 inches
deep. Usually there is only one
cubby hole drawer to be found in
most of these Secretary Bookcases.
The large curved glass door is 17
inches wide on a curve x 49 inches
tall. There are 3 removable and
adjustable shelves for books or
items of choice that are 16 ½ inches
wide and 11 ¾ inches front to back.
The shelf above the curved glass
door from side to side is 35 inches
wide and above the door is 13 ½
inches front to back. The 3 drawers
with the wonderful Lion head heavy
hardware have all locks intact and
are 17 ½ inches wide, 9 ½ inches
front to back and have depths of 4
¼, 5 ¼ and 6 ¼ inches deep.
