This is a fabulous 1860-70s tall and
slender style and well thought after
2 Door originally made to be a
Victorian Parlor Bookcase. This has
many uses on today’s market or in
its original state as a bookcase.
There are plate grooves that have
been cut into the shelves to make
this a China Cabinet. This was done
later. This is great for
collections, etc. Someone has
refinished this at one point in time
and a nice job done at that! PLEASE
DO NOT THINK THE INTERIOR ON THAT
LIGHT BLUE THAT SOMETHING BAD HAS
BEEN DONE TO THIS BOOKCASE. The
reason why we say that is actually
the light blue is a plus… it merely
lightens up the interior of the
cabinet to show off those items of
choice! This has 2 panels of glass
per door and YES it is the old wavy
original glass. This is a 2 piece
outfit and the top sets on the 2
drawer Step Out Base. Please take
notice this has the original black
tear drop Victorian pulls. This also
has the original porcelain castors
so it can be easily rolled around if
needed.
This is 91 inches tall and at the
top is 44 inches wide and the base
is 17 inches front to back. The 2
drawers are pin dovetailed
constructed and are 15 ½ inches wide
and 12 ½ inches front to back and 7
inches deep. The 2 large Doors are
17 ½ inches wide and WOW 61 ½ inches
tall. Lots of shelf space… the 6
shelves are removable and adjustable
about every 1 ½ inches. They are 38
½ inches wide and 9 ½ inches front
to back.
